Wachovia Championship Tickets are Going, Going...Almost Gone

PGA TOUR event makes its second appearance in Charlotte May 3-9, 2004, at Quail Hollow Club

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 15, 2004 – Tickets are going, going...almost gone for the Wachovia Championship, the $5.6 million PGA TOUR event which makes its second appearance in Charlotte May 3-9, 2004, at Quail Hollow Club.

The general public may purchase tickets by calling (800) 945-0777, or by visiting www.wachoviachampionship.com. Only a limited number of single-day tickets and weekly ticket packages are still available, and tournament officials expect the event to completely sell out by the middle of next week. Friday and Saturday single-day tickets have already sold out.

Tickets will not be available for purchase at the tournament site or during the tournament. “We want to provide a secure venue for the event while ensuring that fans are enjoying themselves, so tickets will not be available once the tournament begins on Monday (May 3),” says Kym Hougham, tournament director.

Daily tickets for the Wachovia Championship are priced from $10 to $40. Tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday are just $10 each day.  First round tickets on Thursday are $30 each; tickets for the final round on Sunday are $40 each. Weekly ticket books are still available and are priced at $120. A number of hospitality opportunities also remain. Fans purchasing tickets for Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s practice rounds will receive a bonus ticket to Monday’s pro-am tournament, where fans will see players in a more relaxed and intimate setting.
