Wachovia Championship Offers Mulligan Ticket Program
Available for Sold-out Tournament May 2-8
CHARLOTTE N.C., April 28, 2005 – Tickets have sold out for the third Wachovia Championship May 2-8 at Quail Hollow Club, but fans who missed out on buying tickets have a second chance to see some of the PGA TOUR’s best at the tournament in Charlotte.
Wachovia Championship officials announced today they are offering a Mulligan ticket program again this year. In golf, a Mulligan is known as a “do over.” The Wachovia Championship’s Mulligan ticket program allows fans who purchased daily ground tickets but can’t spend the entire day at Quail Hollow to donate them back to the tournament.
The Mulligan tickets will then be resold for just $10, with all the proceeds benefiting a local charity, which has not yet been determined.
To donate a ticket, simply drop off your ticket at one of the Mulligan Ticket Drop boxes at the main gate of Quail Hollow Club, at the Charlotte Coliseum or Ballantyne Executive Park during normal business hours, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, May 2 through Sunday, May 8.
The Mulligan tickets will be available for purchase at the Charlotte Coliseum Will Call trailer beginning at noon each day.
“We’re pleased to offer the program in Charlotte” says Kym Hougham, tournament director. “We think this will make this highly successful event even more accessible to fans, while benefiting a local charity at the same time.”
Mulligan tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and only valid for the remainder of the day issued. All Mulligan tickets are ground access only. Supplies of tickets are limited. For more information, please call the ticket office, 800-945-0777.
