Component Specifications

Our signature is the specific combination of two dynamic components: the Wachovia Championship symbol and the Wachovia Championship logotype. Together they create the Wachovia Championship signature. Each signature component and variation has been carefully drawn and proportioned. It is never to be redrawn or otherwise altered.

Configurations

Signature configuration refers to the position of the logotype in relation to the symbol. Acceptable variations are shown below.

When evaluating the appropriate signature for your needs, strive to use this signature. The minimum size is 3/8", measured by the height of the symbol.

In instances where spaces are vertically constricted wider than taller—use the horizontal signature. The minimum size in 3/8", measured by the height of the symbol.

Clear Space

For our signature to communicate effectively, a minimum of surrounding clear space is necessary for proper staging. Clear space is the area around the signature that should be free of all other logos, symbols, text or other graphic elements.

Clear space provides a kind of “breathing room” and allows the signature to stand distinctly in any environment. The clear space specifcations for our signature are defined in proportion to the height of the signature’s symbol.

With the height of the symbol designated as “x”, clear space must always be 0.5x (½x) on all sides of the signature. Clear space requirements are the same for the horizontal and vertical versions of the signature. Therefore, if the symbol is 60 pixels, the clear space will be 30 pixels around.

Unacceptable Use

Our signature is the unique expression of our corporate identity and brand. To properly strengthen our brand and its effectiveness, care must be taken to ensure correct and consistent signature use in every application.

Altering or redrawing the signature in any way weakens the power of the image and the message behind it. Consistency is the key. Some common misuses are shown on this page.
