One hour from the Great Smoky Mountains, and three hours from the beaches, Charlotte is conveniently located in the Piedmont region, on the border between North and South Carolina. The clean and tree-filled landscape is usually dotted in the spring with azaleas, and more often than not accompanied with the unmistakably clear "Carolina blue" skies.
